Wrote out a lengthy reply but it looks like it got hidden, Verses is the company doing the Gaussian splat
Edit: The Gaussian one is Verses AI, using "active inference" based AI. SP has been wrecked but that's because of poor financial management (2 RS's probably caused by a delayed uplisting to NASDAQ) rather than product execution.
They have patents, IEEE spatial web standards at the final revision step, a very important neuroscientist in Karl Friston, and 'Genius' model that has 95% efficiency gains over the big boys on Atari and mastermind benchmarks using a laptop instead of a supercluster. Verses dusted everyone in recent robotics challenges — in too lazy to link it but you can find videos pretty easily on their YouTube and website. They work with JPL, G42 some resellers and several NDA'd clients including financial institutions and telecommunications. Might be due for a raise soon, first revenues from recent commercialization would be on next fins — but the chatter on forums is they should have had to raise a month ago based on burn rate so they just have some solid revenues. New AXIOM model is promising too, I'm also noticing more people discussing their work and turning on LLMs.
Main problem is most of the other interesting ones are private 😔
